I'm still holding out hope that these projects will find their time to shine. They're all great and worthwhile! Definitely drop me a line if you see this list and have the slightest interest in any of them - whether you want to get involved or just offer some support and prod me to look at it again, you might be able to help make it happen!
Secular Charities Certification Authority
It's difficult for people to find secular charities. We need a searchable database and a badge to encourage charities to be proud of their secularism. You can find an unverified list on the website, but we could do so, so much more...

Queer Tango Sydney
We started in 2018 with a Mardi Gras float. We encourage queers to dance tango and everyone to tango queerly! Maybe, when the world comes back, we'll run the queer tango events we dreamed of... definitely not a one person project, though.

Queeredge
Queeredge is a queer politics of non-drinking. It's very slowly gaining adherents, and being part of a world which is more friendly to non-drinkers. People who said they'd write articles still need to do so, though.

Make things in Marsfield
I had a Meetup slot open, so I figured I'd see who was around my neighbourhood and wanted to have a stitch and bitch! We had a couple of events, but I didn't really push it, so it's another one on hiatus, waiting for interest or the right time. It's been downgraded to a facebook group, since I needed the Meetup slot for something else.

Let's talk about TAFE
This is a small facebook group that was intended to rally people to a more activist engagement in TAFE. Unfortunately this is notoriously hard, and the group is currently just trying to keep informed of developments in the Teacher's Federation and Greens campaigns. At least that means we might be able to mobilise if an appropriate opportunity comes up.
Previously I have been involved in the SIT Action Group, Ultimo Students' Association, Sydney Institute Students' Association and Sydney Institute Advisory Committee. I have also tried to get UTS Students' Association, the old and new EANs and various other groups to pay concrete attention to TAFE issues. Nothing works. So few people seem to care enough to do anything more than wait till TAFE nears absolute rock bottom to hope the government realises what we've lost. Well, it's closer than it used to be.

The Independent Student Union at Macquarie (ISUM)
ISUM still only has members I've talked to myself, but it's there, waiting, in case it's needed. Whether it's this or something, else, we need a union at mac uni.

Critical Atheism Circle
Critical atheism is a way of differentiating from the liberal New Atheism. There have been several attempts to do this, including Atheism+, but this is mine. It's going slowly, but it still has a place in the world, picking up a few more identifiers or acknowledgers each year.
People who said they'd write articles still need to do so, though.
