Performance-related Resumé
As an adult, I have danced, sung and acted, as well as doing production and costumes. I could also talk about my teaching, speaking and media experience, but you can find them elsewhere on this site!
As a child I studied tap dance from 7-19 and jazz ballet from 8-13. I sang in choirs and did as little acting or speaking as I could get away with!
There is a sad lack of photographic evidence of me on stage. Several people have been promising me photos for years - hopefully I'll get them one day.

Kings of Joy
Since October 2022, I have been learning to be a drag king and performing as Frank Lee Madir.

No performance for me, but I did Wardrobe for a short film in July 2022. It's a Capstone project for some AFTRS Masters students, but includes a bunch of fantastic professionals with a script approved by Mem Fox herself.
The finished film premiered at AFTRS on 19 May 2023, and will hopefully be coming soon to a film festival near you! Some stills should be forthcoming, too....
(Not sure it warrants its own heading, but sometime in covid I also acted in another short film... I was a dead body in a photo and also a voice on the end of a phonecall to triple zero in Scammed, which was written, directed, produced, edited and who knows what else by my friend Jo Teh.)

Reedy River
An Australian bush musical written by Dick Diamond in the 1950s, Reedy River is set in the aftermath of the 1891 shearers’ strike and features Australian folk songs of the era. This Opera Noire production reinterpreted the text and performed twice on stage and once in the round, for the Henry Lawson Festival in July 2017.
I was Production Manager as well as acting and singing the part of Rose.
In July 2018 I reprised the role of Rose in eight performances with the Forest Area Musical Society. The play was adjusted further and my part was expanded, with more lines, two costumes and some bush dancing!

Sydney Atheist Choir
I founded the Atheist Choir in 2014 as a community choir which will never sing carols. We have developed a repertoire of atheism-related music and have performed twice, at Skepticamp and at the Sunday Assembly.
(As for choirs, I also rehearsed with Loosely Woven for nursing home performances, but my very first gig got shut down by covid.)

Cheek to Cheek
In 2015 the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Choir produced an original musical, Cheek to Cheek.
I danced ballroom, latin and swing. Three shows, three costumes. I'm still hoping to hunt down a photo of the sparkly blue and green dress with the flowers in the hair...

The Wedding of Kate and Bea
On June 14, 2014 I married Beatrice, my car of fifteen years in a beautiful outdoor wedding. The event was a protest and commentary on several issues including personhood (corporate and fetal, vs. women's and many minorities'), marriage restrictions and slippery slope arguments.

I subsequently assumed the role of Celebrant at a wedding for the Rainbow Army, protesting the hypocrisy and influence of Fred Nile outside his own wedding.
